BONNERS FERRY — A Boundary County man is facing two separate trials next week, one on charges of aggravated assault and the other on a charge of online child enticement.

Chase Jerrold Invernon, 30, was charged with two counts of aggravated assault on Jan. 2, 2024. Invernon was later charged with one count of enticing children over the internet on Feb. 19, 2025. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

The trial in each case is set for Dec. 8.

In the child enticement case, Invernon posted a $50,000 bond. According to court documents, Invernon is prohibited from having contact with anyone under the age of 18 as a condition of his release.

In the aggravated assault case, several different bonds have been set, ranging from an initial $100,000 to $10,000. After Invernon posted bail, court documents show Boundary County Prosecutor Andrakay Pluid requested that a warrant be issued after she became aware Invernon had allegedly violated his release conditions by consuming alcohol and possessing a firearm. He is believed to be currently being held on a $25,000 bond.

In the enticement case, Invernon allegedly sent video messages showing his genitals to a minor under age 16 between Dec. 26, 2024, and Feb. 18, 2025, according to court documents. He also allegedly stated in messages that he wanted to engage in a sexual act with the minor.

Boundary County Sheriff’s Deputy Brandon Blackmore provided a sworn affidavit for the aggravated assault charges. He was dispatched to Mountain Meadow Road after a report of shots fired at people camping on private property.

Property owners told Blackmore they were hosting a graduation party when Invernon arrived uninvited.

One of the individuals allegedly shot at told law enforcement that Ivernon yelled at them, which included saying “You better stay where you are or else.”

After some time, Invernon allegedly fired a gun at two individuals and chased them in his vehicle as they fled.  Both individuals shot at fled, running south and taking shelter in an RV. Invernon then allegedly fired three more shots before driving off at a rapid pace.

Deputies found a bullet hole in a pickup truck at the scene. Blackmore said the damage was consistent with a revolver round. No shell casings were found, according to the affidavit.
