December events at the library

The Boundary County Library always has a variety of activities and events for all ages. Here are the activities for December. 


For youths: 

Friday, Dec. 12 — Science Friday, 10:30 a.m.; “Wild Weather” videoconference with the Panhandle Plains Historical Museum in Texas. 

Saturday, Dec. 13 — Battle of the Books, 11 a.m. 

Wednesday, Dec. 17 — Storytime, 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; theme: “Merry Christmas.”   

Saturday, Dec. 20 — LEGO Club, 10 a.m.–noon. 

Teen Reading Challenge — October through April. 


For readers of all ages: 

The Book Nerd and Book Dragon 2025 reading challenges continue. Readers of all ages can complete 10 book categories for a “Book Nerd” T-shirt or book bag. Those who read 50 books during the year earn a Book Dragon T-shirt or book bag and entry into a gift card drawing. 

Thursday, Dec. 18 — Craft Lap Circle, 11 a.m. 

Saturday, Dec. 27 — Chess Club, 10 a.m. 


The library will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, and Thursday, Dec. 25, for Christmas.
