NEWPORT — A favorite holiday tradition is back at Newport Community Hospital on Dec. 6. The 2025 Festival of Trees includes free family activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a Holiday Gala from 5 to 8 p.m.
All activities will be held in the hospital’s Ponderosa Ballroom, accessed through the entrance at the corner of Spruce Street and Scott Avenue.
Throughout the event, decorated prize trees will be on display, many with values over $1,000. Adults age 18 years or older may purchase $1 raffle tickets for the chance to win a tree.
The daytime portion of the Festival of Trees features free activities for families, including Santa photos, children’s crafts, cookie decorating, and refreshments. The Newport High School Choir will get everyone in the holiday spirit with an 11 a.m. performance.
The Holiday Gala kicks off the evening festivities for adults 21 and older. The Gala includes tree viewing, hors d’oeuvres, prime rib dinner, dessert, mini-tree silent auction, and a no-host beer and wine bar. The winning prize tree raffle tickets will be drawn at the conclusion of the event. Winners need not be present to win.
Gala tickets may be reserved in advance for $75 per person by calling 509-447-6286. They may also be purchased online at EventBrite.com.
All proceeds from the Festival of Trees benefit the Newport Hospital and Health Services Foundation.
Newport Hospital and Health Services Foundation was established in 2008 to support a strong rural hospital and healthy community. The foundation raises money for needed healthcare equipment and supplies, employee higher education, the Healthy Kids Snack Bag program, Reach Out & Read, and other needs in support of its mission.
Raffle tickets must be purchased in person, and participants are encouraged to play responsibly. Individuals who have been harmed by gambling may call 1-800-GAMBLER for help.
