Law roundup: Vehicle owner confuses repo man for a thief

The owner of a vehicle told the Kalispell Police Department that a man showed up at his residence and towed it away, alleging the act constituted theft, particularly since he had left four guns inside it. After chatting a bit, the owner conceded it could be a repossession. However, he was pretty sure that repossession could not occur on private property. Officers tracked down the vehicle and confirmed it had been repossessed.
Homeowners reported a late-night food fight, telling investigators that someone struck the north side of their house with a food container and drink. Officers, who arrived to find them cleaning up the mess, found footprints nearby that led to a secured gate before leading off into the woods.
