Although the Bonners Ferry High School basketball team has some old material left from last year, it will blossom forth this season under a new name - The Badgers. The name was chosen by the players.
The annual pest killing contest came to a close Monday evening, and Tuesday evening the members of the Boundary County Fish and Game Association under whose auspices the contest is conducted, met at the City Hall to determine the standings of the various contestants. Chas. Riefsteck won first prize with a total of 91,250 points.
Members of the town are inclined to favor a plan to issue bonds for the purpose of installing a gravity water system in Bonners Ferry.

Lisa Smith is chosen as Bonners Ferry Bicentennial Junior Miss. Members of her court are Linda Morice and Vickie Schauble.
City of Bonners Ferry has applied for a H.U.D. grant of $121,825 for a new fire hall.
Bill Hayden has been named as "Idaho A-2 Track Coach of the Year," and Doug Cox shares the honor of "Idaho A-2 Coach of the Year" with a Marsh Valley coach.
