Levity Theatre is ringing in the holiday season with a monthlong lineup of festive, family-friendly improv comedy shows.

Audiences are invited to celebrate with laughter as Levity Theatre presents three unique holiday-themed performances at 7 p.m. Fridays in December, each blending spontaneous comedy, audience participation and seasonal cheer.

This festive series of improv comedy shows begins with tonight's "Holly Jolly Improv Comedy Show," a fast-paced night of unscripted holiday hilarity. "Family Dinner Fiasco" will be Dec. 12, an improvised family reunion where audience-inspired characters gather for a chaotic and holiday dinner. The series will conclude Dec. 19 with the annual "Improv Comedy Holiday Special," a variety-style showcase packed with improvised Christmas carols, sketch comedy, playful competition and surprise guest performers.

“Of all of these shows, I’m the most excited about the 'Family Dinner Fiasco,'” Levity founder Noah Johnson said in a Nov. 24 news release. “It’s a brand-new show format that we’ve been cooking up, pun intended, and in our practices, it has been absolutely hilarious.”

All shows will take place at the Unity Center for Spiritual Growth, 4465 N. 15th St., Coeur d’Alene. Ticket prices are $5 for children 6-17, $10 for adults aged 18 and older and free for children 5 and younger.
