Lookout opens Friday

MULLAN – Lookout Pass Ski Area will open for the season Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, with a relaxed opening day schedule with reduced prices for lift tickets.  

Two chairlifts, the Peak 1 Quad and the Success Triple for beginners, will operate from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. PST. 

Several slopes on the front of the mountain off the Peak 1 Quad will be open for skiing and riding, along with the Success beginner lift. The lodge, ticket office, rentals and administrative office will open at 9:30 a.m. PST. 

Significant snowfall is forecast for Thursday and Friday, with snow continuing through the weekend. The snow report will be updated each morning and again in the afternoon. 

“A hearty shout out to all our fans that did their snow dances. The mountain and staff much appreciate all your efforts. You indeed got Old Man Winters’ attention and he reacted sending us the gift we needed, snow!” said Matt Sawyer, Lookout Pass marketing manager. “Have fun, take it easy, and enjoy the fresh snow. This party is just getting started.”  

The mountain will also be open Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
