NO. 31717 NOTICE OF WATER AND SEWER RATE INCREASES AND PUBLIC HEARINGS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on December 1, 2025, the Board of Directors (the “Board”) of the Hideaway Community County Water and Sewer District, Montana (the “District”), adopted a Resolution of Intention to Increase Rates for the Users of the Water System; and Calling a Public Hearing Thereon and a Resolution of Intention to Increase Rates for the Users of the Sewer System; and Calling a Public Hearing Thereon. Water Rate Increase The District has determined it will be necessary to increase its current water rates to collect sufficient revenues to pay the costs associated with the operation and maintenance of the Water System. The District currently charges users of the Water System a monthly Flat Rate of $12.50 per unit for the use and availability of the Water System. Effective as of February 1, 2026, the Board proposes to increase the Flat Rate for users of the Water System to $112 per month per unit for operations and maintenance expenses and to establish appropriate reserves. The proposed Flat Rate increase represents an increase of $99.50 over the existing Flat Rate for users of the Water System. Each user or living unit served by the Water System is responsible for paying the charges set forth herein. Sewer Rate Increase The District has determined that it will be necessary for the District to collect sufficient revenues to repay sewer system revenue bonds, to pay the costs associated with the operation and maintenance of the Sewer System, and to establish appropriate reserves. The District currently charges users of the Sewer System a monthly flat rate of $12.50 per unit for the use and availability of the Sewer System.  Effective as February 1, 2026, the Board proposes to increase the monthly Flat Rate for users of the Sewer System to $135 per month. The proposed monthly flat rate consists of (i) $42 per user for operations and maintenance expenses, (ii) $93 per user to pay debt service on bonds, and (iii) to the extent in addition to amounts necessary for such expenses and bonds, additional amounts to establish appropriate reserves. The proposed monthly Flat Rate increase represents an increase of $122.50 over the existing monthly Flat Rate for users of the Sewer System. Each user or living unit served by the Sewer System is responsible for paying the charges set forth herein.
