Holiday markets coming up

Christmas markets and craft fairs are jingling through North Idaho this holiday season.

Dec. 6

Christmas Bazaar | 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Third Avenue Marketplace, 1215 E. Third Ave., Post Falls. Enjoy a festive shopping experience and help make a difference in the community. Unique holiday gifts, hot cocoa and coffee, and a free sweet treat with a donation of pet food or cat litter. All proceeds benefit the Third Avenue Senior Programs. Free.

Annual Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., North Idaho Christian School, 251 W. Miles Ave., Hayden. Christmas wonderland with more than 50 local vendors to choose from. Variety of goods, concession stand with chili and potato bar. 

Christmas Craft Market | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Christian Center School, 3639 W. Prairie Ave., Hayden. Fresh-cut Christmas trees and wreaths, coffee bar, fresh-baked goodies, raffles and more. Free.

Holiday Bazaar | 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Community Presbyterian Church, 417 N. William St., Post Falls. Cinnamon and orange rolls in the morning. Lunch is a hot dog or a chili dog. Cookies and candy sold by the pound. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be available for pictures from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More than 30 local vendors in a warm, inviting, indoor event. Sale items will include occasion cards, quilts, wooden bowls, permanent jewelry, kitchen towels, fleece throws, a variety of jewelry, epoxy tabletops, wine glasses and more. Free.

Outdoor European Christmas Market | 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Coeur d'Alene Elks Lodge No. 1254 RV Campground, 1170 W. Prairie Ave, Coeur d'Alene. Largest Chriistkindlemarket in the area. Bratwurst, roasted nuts, pastries, lefse, gingerbread, hot mulled spiced wine and hot cocoa. Festive music, sparkling Christmas ornaments and gifts. Make your own Christmas wreath from fresh-cut pine boughs. Be the first to see the largest sculpture made with cotton candy, which could be close to a world record in size! Over 90 vendors. Admission is $5 each day, cash only. An ATM will be on site.

Holiday Craft Fair | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Rathdrum Lions Club, 16114 N. Meyer Road, Rathdrum. Rathdrum Craft and Farmers Market. Unique gifts and goodies from many vendors. Free.

Kootenai County Farmers' Markets Winter Market | 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Kootenai County Fairgrounds, 4056 N. Government Way, Coeur d'Alene. Seasonal produce, wreaths, honey, meats, cheeses, baked goods, eggs, jams and locally made gifts. Live music and refreshments. Enter through the main gate off Government Way. Free admission and parking.

Post Falls Christmas "Weihnachts" Market | 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Post Falls Public Market, 415 E. Third Ave., Post Falls. To honor Fredrick Post, a German immigrant who founded the town, vendors will provide food, fun and gift ideas. Continues each Saturday and Sunday thru Jan 2.  

Merry Makers Market | 1-4 p.m., Gizmo-CDA, 283 W. Hubbard Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Magical market of member-made beauties such as pottery, stained glass, wood carvings, felt and jewelry. Free.

Dec 13 

Craft Fair | 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Brookdale Senior Living, 202 E. Anton Ave., Coeur d'Alene. Shop for goodies and craft items. Free.
