1 killed, 2 injured in Monday crash

SAGLE — A 60-year-old woman was killed and two other people were injured in a Monday afternoon crash, according to Idaho State Police.

ISP troopers said the woman was attempting to cross U.S. 95 from E. Dufort Road when her Dodge Dakota was struck by a Dodge Ram northbound on the highway. The accident happened at about 2:34 p.m.

The woman and her passenger, a 63-year-old male were not wear seatbelts and the woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene. Her passenger and the 65-year-old male driver of the Dodge Ram were transported to a local hospital for their injuries. 

The driver of the Dodge Ram was wearing a seatbelt, ISP troopers said.

Next of kin has been notified.

The roadway was blocked for approximately 3 hours. 

The incident remains under investigation by Idaho State Police.
