A child reportedly dialed 911 and hung up. On the callback from dispatch, the child said their mom was home, but they could not speak to her. The child allegedly called 911 again and refused to give the phone to their mother, saying she was doing laundry, while several children laughed hysterically in the background. Contact was finally made with the parent, who confirmed there wasn’t an emergency and that the children were playing with the phone.
A family was reportedly hit by bear spray inside a vehicle and the mother told someone to call 911. It was reported that she and a 19-, 13- and 10-year-old were awake and breathing and made it back inside a house.
A woman's alleged wall-banging was escalating, according to neighbors who complained she was doing it on purpose to harass them and played a video to police where the loud knocking sounds they described could be heard. The woman also reportedly threatened to fight one of their relatives who tried to intervene in the dispute. The officer told the woman she could be ticketed for having a disorderly house per the city code.
The woman claimed that she wasn’t making any such noise to the officer and resorted to name-calling. The officer explained the consequences of false reporting and told both parties they could contact the rental management if desired.
Two women were heard talking on an open line about Narcan and CPR. They were allegedly trying to pull a man in his 30s out of the back of a Durango, where he had been smoking fentanyl. The man started responding after being given two doses of the opioid reversal medication.
A woman out walking her dog was suspicious of a silver Chevy pickup occupied by four males when it pulled up behind her and then in front of her and rolled the windows down then made a U-turn and headed back toward her. She turned down an alley and got home safely but wanted the police to be aware in case there were other incidents.
A man went to the Police Department to complain about a purported ongoing issue of homeless people hanging around outside his house. He was advised to call when the people were being disorderly.
