PREP BASKETBALL: Wood leads Wallace to victory over Clark Fork

WALLACE — Junior Khepri Wood had 10 points, five rebounds and five steals as the Wallace Miners jumped on the Clark Fork Wampus Cats early en route to a 46-20 victory in Scenic Idaho Conference play Monday night at Kirby Krulitz Court. 

Aubrey Birdsell had seven points, six rebounds and five steals for Wallace (4-2, 1-0 SIC), and Kylee Phillips had six points, 11 rebounds and three steals. 

Freshman Vanessa Rogier totaled eight points and 19 rebounds for Clark Fork (0-6, 0-2). 

Wallace returns to action next Tuesday at Lakeside in Scenic Idaho Conference play.

POST FALLS — Cyrus Coppinger scored 18 of his game-high 27 points in the second half to lift the Lions past the Cristeros in nonleague play at The Courts at Real Life. 

Colt Quimby tallied 16 of his 22 points in the second half for Christian Center School (3-0), which returns to action Saturday at 5 p.m. at Spokane Classical Christian School. 

Desmond Lloyd scored 14 points to lead four Immaculate Conception Academy (0-3) players into double figures.
