Coming into the 205-26 season, the Lady Tigers are loaded with youth and potential, aiming to build on experience while staying competitive in North Star League action. Head coach Sherry Leitz knows her team is still developing but sees plenty to be excited about.
“The Lady Tigers are still on the younger side with mostly sophomores and under on the team,” Leitz said. “We will continue to build our program and be competitive in league play.”
Roster Outlook
Mullan’s lineup features a mix of returning players and fresh faces. Senior Avah Blankenship will be the team’s leader, guiding a roster heavy with underclassmen.
“I see her stepping up as a team leader and helping guide the younger players,” Leitz noted.
Sophomore Caylee Crandall returns as the point guard and is expected to control the game offensively. Incoming freshman Lacie Morris adds depth on both ends of the floor, while junior Rylee Niemi and sophomore Raelynn Kostelich will handle guard duties. In the post, sophomore Kaydence Elliott provides size, and newcomer eighth-grader Arianna Ullrich rounds out the roster.
“I’m excited about the mix of returning experience and young talent we have this season,” Leitz said.
Goals and Identity
Communication and offensive execution will be key areas of focus for the Tigers. Leitz is eager to see how her players grow and adjust to each other as the season progresses.
“With strong leadership and a promising group of young players, I’m excited to see how the Lady Tigers compete this season,” she added.

Kellogg sees progress in FEMA flood map dispute
In 2020, Kellogg and neighboring municipalities sought updated river flow data from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, whose long‑term monitoring showed flood levels lower than those reflected in FEMA’s maps. Using that data, Kellogg submitted a Letter of Map Revision, or LOMR, to FEMA in early 2021, arguing that flood levels shown as 100‑year events would likely require flows closer to a 500‑year flood to reach projected elevations.
