Narco-terrorists

Liberals suffering the Trump derangement syndrome don’t surprise me with the intensity of their hatred, but can’t they look at a video to decide without the bias of the drive-by media and Democrats what is actually occurring in the Caribbean?

I won’t argue with Barbara Palmer’s obviously slanted view (Dec. 2) about disappearing food subsidies (not true) and tax cuts for the rich only or her tears for “American citizens and legal immigrants” being attacked by ICE. “The vast majority of people attacked by ICE are innocent citizens,”  she claims with no mention of the huge number of attacks on ICE as they try to do their job detaining illegal aliens who broke the law entering this country.

But when she claims that, “Dozens of fishermen are dead because their boats were blown up in waters near Venezuela,” I must object. Is she blind or does she not bother to look at the videos of these actions? Every boat I have seen is powered by multiple high horsepower engines designed for speed and evasion of capture with no fishing gear visible but dozens of packages characteristic of those containing drugs in plain sight.

Does she really believe these are innocent fishermen? I don’t agree with the premise that they are entitled to capture and due process. The roughly 80 narco-terrorists killed so far pale in comparison to the 240,000 deaths from 2020 - 2024 (CDC data) due to Fentanyl overdose in the 18-45-year-old age group. Did those young people get due process?

I, for one, don’t want to waste taxpayer money capturing and trying any of these killers. As an aside, rather than 70,000 deaths in 2023 (last year of complete data) the number is down this year due to the border closure and elimination of these “fishermen!”
