PREP WRESTLING: Lumberjacks battle to draw, but fall on criteria to Moscow

MOSCOW — The 3A St. Maries Lumberjacks were up for the challenge of the 5A Moscow Bears on Tuesday night. 

But it was the host Bears that claimed the nonleague dual. 

St. Maries and Moscow finished tied 41-41, but the Bears won the dual after receiving four forfeits, compared to three for the Lumberjacks. 

St. Maries beat Moscow 43-33 in Moscow on Jan. 11, 2024. 

Kelby Harvey (144 pounds) won by technical fall and Zach David (150), Amado Stewart (157) and Aiden Yearout (165) won by pin for St. Maries, which competes in the George Wild Invitational on Friday and Saturday at Kellogg High.
