As we get older, we still require plenty of nutrients but fewer calories. It is important to make good food choices that are full of vitamins and minerals and limited in added sugars, saturated fats and sodium. A variety of fruits and vegetables, whole grains, protein and dairy are good choices according to the “Healthy Eating for Older Adults” U.S. Department of Agriculture Food Service article.

Bingo is on Dec. 13 at 2 p.m. here at the center. Gentle Yoga is on Wednesday 1-2:15 p.m. If you are interested, please call Bonnie Kiser at 406-253-0177.

Main dishes served at the center include chicken and mac-n-cheese, Dec. 12; tuna casserole, Dec. 16; ham with mashed potatoes, Dec. 17; and fish and wheat bread, Dec. 19.

Everyone is welcome at our meals (young and old). Come enjoy a delicious meal and good conversation. If you would like a takeout meal, please call 406-745-4462 by 10 a.m. on Tuesday and Friday and by 2 p.m. on the first and third Wednesdays.
