Whitefish’s future at stake

Whitefish residents, it’s almost too late to engage in your future here in our quaint city! Those of you who were here 20 years ago remember all too well how we “missed the boat” in the city’s planning for the future sessions. Now, look at where we are: no by-pass, congested thoroughfares, large developments coming our way, almost no public transit, etc. Is this the legacy we want to leave for our children and grandchildren? Don’t lament the should-have, the would-have and the could-haves.  Say “NO” to apathy! Your and our future is at stake. Attend the frequent Vision Whitefish 2045 growth policy sessions at City Hall, they’re open to the public and “on air” too.  The last session had 12 interested and concerned citizens and the city hall council chambers could easily hold 60 more. If you care about our future, please attend, and if you don’t become involved, do not complain. The Planning Board Commissioners are volunteers working for you and yours. Next “visioning” meetings are Dec. 17 and Jan. 7. Happy holidays!
