POAC hosting fabric sample sale

A recent donation is allowing the Pend Oreille Arts Council to hold a fabric sale this weekend.

The Pend Oreille Arts Council is hosting a special fabric sample sale this weekend.
The sale will be held from Saturday, Dec. 13, through Monday, Dec. 15, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the POAC Gallery, 313 N. Second Ave., in Sandpoint.
The sale features hundreds of high-quality fabric samples generously donated by Joanie Renkert, a long-time POAC supporter and retired interior designer. After setting aside materials for upcoming art classes, POAC is opening the rest to the community for use in artistic projects, crazy quilts, sewing, and more.
“We’re excited to share these beautiful samples with anyone who can put them to creative use,” said Claire Lutz, POAC arts coordinator. “Joanie’s generous donation allows us to support our classes and also share high-quality materials with the community. We hope these beautiful samples find new life in creative projects of all kinds, and we’d love to see what people make.”
The event is open to all, with no limits on how much fabric that visitors may take. A donation of any amount is required in exchange for materials. POAC staff and volunteers will be on hand to assist shoppers throughout the weekend.
