Santa to visit local children at the VFW on Dec. 20

Santa Claus will make a special stop at the Bonners Ferry Veterans of Foreign Wars Post on Saturday, Dec. 20, where children can visit Santa’s workshop, take photos, and choose a free toy. The event begins at 10 a.m. and will continue until the VFW runs out of toys.  

Families are encouraged to bring their own phone or camera to capture photos with Santa. The event is free and open to the community. 

Organizers are collecting new, unwrapped toys to ensure every child who attends has something to take home. Donations may be dropped off at Columbia Bank, P1FCU, Al Wilson Auto, Kootenai River Brewery, Beck’s Furniture, Dollar General, Mountain West Bank, Wells Fargo and additional locations to be announced. 

The VFW is located at 6635 Lincoln St. in Bonners Ferry.
