An appropriation of $100,000 for the dredging and cleaning of the channel of the Kootenai River near Bonners Ferry is being asked in a resolution passed by the Kootenai Valley Commercial Club Monday night. The resolution was submitted by A.J. Kent, of the resolution committee, and was adopted by a unanimous vote.
Word was received here this week that Stephan D. Taylor, former editor and owner of the Bonners Ferry Herald, died last Friday at Strawn, Texas, following an attack of blood poisoning.
Chas. Heis and William Lefebvre were arrested at the Motor Inn Dance Hall at Herman Lake last Saturday night by Special Deputy Sheriff Rudolf Eisner and on arraignment in probate court here Monday asked for a change of venue to Justice Court. The men were fined $10 and costs each, on a charge of being drunk and disorderly.
