Nestor C. Schmitt, Jr.

Nestor C. Schmitt, Jr., was given life by his Creator and was born in Saginaw, Michigan on Nov. 28, 1940, the child of Nestor and Arlene Schmitt, Sr. 

On Dec. 15, 1940, he received the gift of Holy Baptism and became a child of God. On April 15, 1954, Nestor publicly confessed his faith and was confirmed and received the precious gift of the Lord’s life giving body and blood.

On Nov. 27, 1965, he received the gift of a beloved companion in his spouse, Arlene Knoll. He was blessed with the gift of two children; David and James, daughter-in-law, Erin; and two grandchildren, Katelyn and Mandy.

On Dec. 9, 2025, God blessed Nestor with a holy death and took him home to rest in the arms of Jesus, until the resurrection of the dead. In addition to his immediate family, he is also survived by a brother, William Schmitt; brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Marge Knoll; and sister and brother-in-law, Bob and Kathy Schollmeyer.

Nestor was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Schmitt; his mother and father, Arlene and Nestor Schmitt, Sr.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Winfried and Emma Knoll; and brother-in-law, Edward Knoll.

Precious in the sight of the Lord are the death of his saints.
