SHERIFF: Norris was right to revoke status
Coeur d'Alene Press | UPDATED 1 week AGO
Sheriff Norris has done nothing wrong including his revocation of the Special Deputy” status of the soon retired White from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department. The sheriff’s jurisdiction is within Kootenai County borders to include city limits. He can deputize as needed. He is the chief law enforcement agency in the county.
White, Hailey (Rathdrum Police Department) are eating sour grapes because NO criminal charges were brought by the state attorney general, period. They are the ones who have hurt the citizens of Cd’A, not Sheriff Norris or as retired Sgt. Christie Wood would call him, “Bob”!
All this fiasco at Cd’A High School could have been avoided if Chief White had do his sworn duty and enforce the law he pledged to do at City Council meetings. White failed in his duties again just like the Uhaul PatriotFront arrests during a gay event in downtown Cd’A . The only convictions were seat belt violations!
Christie Wood, retired Sgt., I wonder how many years she spent on the streets of Cd’A or was she a desk jocky and conducting internal affairs? I hope the Cd’A mayor and council does a better job on vetting a new chief and not promote White’s good friend he brought along for Mesa, Ariz.
I am glad White is leaving, hoping he is taking his baggage with him.
