Join Montana West Economic Development for a session that introduces core lean concepts and shows entrepreneurs how to apply them in their ventures. Takes place Dec. 15 from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at MWED located at 44 2nd Avenue W in Kalispell.  


Event grant 

The Montana Department of Commerce Economic Impact and Destination Event Grant will accept applications now through Dec. 18. The Destination Event Grant Program helps Montana’s communities with destination events and new events that will increase tourism, including regional, national and international visitors, promote Montana's unique attributes and generate additional community revenue. Gone Fishin’  

The Whitefish Chamber of Commerce holds its Gone Fishin’ event on Dec. 18 at 5 p.m. at Grouse Mountain Lodge, 2 Fairway Dr. The event is an opportunity to connect with fellow business representatives, share insights and build valuable professional and social relationships.  


Historic Preservation Grant  
The Montana Department of Commerce is accepting applications for the Montana Historic Preservation Grant. The state-funded program is designed to support public or private entities with the preservation of historic sites, historical societies or history museums through grant funding. The program provides the opportunity to stimulate economic development, community revitalization and statewide tourism through increased investment, job creation or retention, business expansion and local tax base growth. Wood Products Loan 

The Montana Department of Commerce is taking applications for the Wood Products Revolving Loan Fund, which provides financial assistance to create or retain jobs in the wood products industry. Loans are available to individuals, including private contractors, or businesses defined as small businesses under the United States Small Business Administration.
