Student suspended after alleged incident

SANDPOINT — The Lake Pend Oreille School District has suspended a student for making an alleged threat to another following a full review of the situation.
In the press release, LPOSD said administration at Sandpoint High School was notified on Sunday of an alleged threat and initiated an investigation. Campus security JD McElroy worked with School Resource Officer Don Little and the Bonner County Sherriff’s Office and determined that the reported threat was not credible.
LPOSD officials said they followed its safety and discipline protocols to ensure the safety of its students and staff and appreciate the student who came forward. SHS Principal Jacki Crossingham said families with questions or concerns can contact the school directly.
The Idaho Office of School Safety and Security operated a 24-hour hotline at (888)-472-2835, where anyone can call to report a confidential and anonymous tip to authorities about safety concerns.
