Rice leads Trotters over Tigers

Led by a stellar effort from sophomore Hadyn Rice, who scored 22 points, cleared eight rebounds, grabbed three steals and blocked four shots, the Plains Trotters improved to 2-1 on the season with a 55-43 win over the visiting Darby Tigers in Plains Friday.
Katelyn Subatch scored 19 more points for Plains in the win over Darby, including four 3-pointers, and Mila Rivinius added 10 points and four rebounds.
Hadley Heiland scored a game-high 26 points for Darby including four 3-pointer and Natlaie Anderson added 10 points.
Coach Brooks Sanford and his Trotters close out the 2025 portion of the schedule this week, playing another non-conference game at Loyola in Missoula Tuesday before hosting Lincoln in Plains Friday.
