RATHDRUM — Coeur d’Alene’s Rocco White (113 pounds), Cole Armstrong (126), Tanner George (132), Trevor Edwards (138), Dominic Prangley (144) and Brock Armstrong (190/215) went unbeaten on Wednesday in duals against the host Lakeland Hawks and Kellogg Wildcats at Lakeland High.
Coeur d’Alene beat Kellogg 67-0, then topped Lakeland 47-32.
Lake City’s James Vincent (215) and Connor Johnson (138) went unbeaten for the Timberwolves, who fell to Lakeland 51-20 and Kellogg 40-37.

KELLOGG – The host Wildcats finished fourth overall as a team behind Sandpoint, St. Maries, and Timberlake respectively at the George Wild Tournament at Andrews Gymnasium on Saturday.

Aubrey Birdsell had seven points, six rebounds and five steals for Wallace and Kylee Phillips had six points, 11 rebounds and three steals.

OROFINO — Junior Draeden Taylor scored a team-high 14 points for the Wildcats, who fell to the Maniacs in the Central Idaho League opener for both schools at Orofino High.
“It was a back-and-forth game, and they were on the good side of that in the second half,” Kellogg coach Mike Martin said. “We played well enough to win, but didn’t make enough of the plays down the stretch. We competed, executed and did enough good things to win some games, just not this one.”
Senior Cayden Honnerlaw scored 12 points for Kellogg.

SPIRIT LAKE — Senior Brant Rush hit four 3-pointers and scored 26 points as the host Tigers slipped past the Miners in nonleague play.
Max Simpson added 14 points for Timberlake.
“This was a close game all the way to the end,” first-year Timberlake coach Juston Henry said. “Our kids really dug in and had some keys stops on defense in the fourth quarter. Brant Rush really stepped up this game and had some huge shots in the fourth to give us the lead. It was great to see their energy and confidence in the final two minutes of a close game on both ends.”
Sophomore Lennox Radford hit six 3-pointers and scored a gamehigh 29 points for Wallace. Simon Sodbat added 15 points for the Miners, who finished with 10 3s.

HONOLULU — Freshman Gretah Angle scored nine of her team-high 15 points in the first half and added seven steals for the Wildcats of Washburn, Tenn., in a loss to the Pirates in a Pink Bracket game in the KSA Oahu Classic at Radford High.
“We had a great first half and went into halftime ahead,” said Kellogg coach Jana Nearing, whose team led 26-20 at the half. “In the second half, the girls played hard and ran the floor well. We just struggled finishing.”
Senior Dani Henrikson had eight points, 15 rebounds and four steals and junior Jordyn Stutzke had six points and nine rebounds for Kellogg.

“We played disciplined defense, resulting in forced turnovers and transition points,” Kellogg coach Jana Nearing said. “And we stayed out of foul trouble. We had several girls shoot well from outside as well.”
