St. Regis boys down Eagles, 73-43

The Tigers’ mojo’s rising.
The St. Regis Tigers built on their still rising mojo in Missoula Thursday, using a scoring run right before halftime to build a good lead and controlled the action the rest of the game on their way to a 73-43 win over Valley Christian. Since Friday’s game at Troy was postponed due to flooding in Lincoln County last week, the Tigers’ game in Missoula was the only one St. Regis played last week.
Now 3-0 in non-conference action, coach Jesse Allan and his Tigers open District 14C conference play at Noxon Friday in St. Regis’ final scheduled action of 2025.
Allan said the Tigers controlled play most of the way in Missoula Thursday, including early when they built a lead of 18-5 in the first quarter. “Valley had a nice little run midway through the second and cut our lead down to five I believe,” he said, adding that Isaac Kelly and Conner Lulis lit the fuse firing the Tigers up after that, with Kelly scoring a few driving layups and Lulis a key 3-pointer to put St. Regis back up by double digits heading into the locker room at halftime.
Allan was impressed with the Eagles. “They've got a nice mix of talent and they push the ball as well,” he said “They'll only get better as the season goes on.”
In the end, Lulis led the Tigers against Valley with 22 points, Nate Bohn scored 19, Barrett Bessette nine, Kelly eight, Chet Hill five and Tucker Desoto four.
Scoring for Valley Christian was not available.
Allan is excited about his latest pride of Tigers. “This group is finding its mojo,” we would have liked to go to Troy (last week), but are excited to go to Noxon for our first district game Friday.”
Allan said that the two schools are working on rescheduling the Troy game, probably in January.
