Pursuit Attractions and Hospitality had a better than expected third quarter, the company recently announced.

Pursuit owns several properties in and around West Glacier, including the commercial hub of the town itself. It also owns the Glacier Park Lodge in East Glacier and the Grouse Mountain Lodge.

“We delivered record third quarter results with strong revenue growth compared to the prior year across all geographies, including exceptionally strong growth from Jasper’s recovery, paired with margin expansion from the strong operating leverage in the business and our continued cost discipline,” said David Barry, president and CEO. “These record results exceeded our expectations, with particular strength in demand across our Canadian operations and at Sky Lagoon, supported by continued global secular trends towards experiential travel in iconic locations, our differentiated businesses, and our passion for delivering incredible experiences for our guests. Our performance showcases the strength of our guest obsessed, experience driven, hospitality-focused culture. This summer, our talented team welcomed millions of visitors and delivered unforgettable experiences with care, passion and precision. Our deep connection to the guest, iconic locations and perennial demand set Pursuit apart and fuels our momentum as a growth company in the large and growing leisure travel space.”

The company has numerous travel destinations in addition to its properties in Montana. That includes properties in Jasper National Park.

Pursuit continues pursuing properties in and around Glacier National Park. Pursuit bought the Montana House in early 2025 and in late 2024, it bought Eddie’s Cafe and the Apgar Lookout Retreat in Glacier as well. It already owned several cabins and a small hotel in Apgar Village.

Outside the village it owns the Belton Chalet, a campground, and several stores and shops in West Glacier as well as the Glacier Raft Co.

The acquisitions are part of the company’s overall “Refresh, Build, Buy” strategy. For example, it is currently  upgrading the Grouse Mountain Lodge in Whitefish.

While the third quarter was good for the company, the company’s stock price is down about 21% since the start of the year.

Still, it has been trending upward, trading at $37.92 on Tuesday. The stock was trading at $26.66 in May.

All told, third quarter revenue was up 32.2% over last year, at $241 million, with net income of $73.9 million.

This year is the first year the company is a stand alone corporation. It used to be Viad and in addition to its destination properties, it had a hand in the display and trade show business, which it spun off in December 2024.

Now it is solely an attraction and hospitality company, with presence in four countries, including Iceland and Costa Rica in addition to the U.S. and Canada.

As Glacier Park Inc. Which was a part of Viad at one point, it also ran all the major lodges in Glacier and the red bus fleet. But Xanterra outbid it for that contract in 2013.

That contract runs through 2029.
