The program which takes less fortunate children on a holiday shopping spree, buying badly needed clothing as well as a few toys for Christmas. All told 15 children were served. The police association holds fundraisers through the year to support the event. It’s a family affair, with the wives and support staff in the department pitching in to help. Target also gives the program a discount on purchases. The names of the children are kept private. (Chris Peterson photos, all)
