Swimmers do well at Kalispell Invitational

The Wildcat swim team started out strong Saturday at the Kalispell Invitational.
Senior talent was demonstrated as Teagan Bates took first in the Class A 200 free and 100 back, and Molly Bagley took fifth in Class A 500 free and sixth in 100 back.
Junior Catherine Opalka made an impression on the crowd, taking first overall and in Class A in the 100 fly. She also took first in the Class A 100 breast.
Head Coach Kyle Babcock had some positive things to say about their performance.
“The team swam really well this weekend. We are a younger team with very experienced veterans. Maielle Bales, Sawyer Clark, Alana Trevino, Ramsey Cuffe, and Talon Borgen all swam in their first high school meet this weekend,” he said.
The girls took fourth in the 200 free relay, second in the 200 medley. They took 4th in the 400 free relay.
As a team, the girls were fourth and the boys were third.
The boys took first in the 200 free relay, and third in the medley.
“The team is excited to get back in the pool this week, as we prepare to head to Great Falls next weekend,” Babcock noted.

100 Back- Kensley Cheff, 3rd, Lucy Hiner, 5th, both in A
Boys 100 Breast- Jackson Schubert, 4th
