Thomas H. Murphy left this life Dec. 5, 2025, to join the love of his life, Marjorie Murphy, in heaven. Tom was born in Wallace, Idaho, on Oct. 4, 1931, and was raised in Spokane. He moved to Hayden Lake, Idaho, in 1974, spending his summers at his lake home on Murphy Bay in Sagle, Idaho. He was 94 years old.

Tom graduated from Lewis & Clark High School and went on to become a successful businessman at S&P Meats and later had great success in the wine distribution industry with his company called Vehrs.

Tom enjoyed traveling to many destinations with Margie, making many great friends and memories along the way. Skiing was a passion of his, whether on water or snow, and he also enjoyed boating. He taught all his children how to do both types of skiing, sharing enjoyable family time together. Tom had a great sense of humor and was given to hospitality. Tom had three children, Thomas Michael, Patrick Leo and Kathleen Rebecca, and was a father to Margie's children as well: Steve, Neil, Janet, Jill and Julienne. He was loved by all and will be missed.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Ida Murphy; his sister, Tut Platt; and brother, Leo Murphy; his wife, Marge; his son, Pat Murphy; and Margie's daughter, Jill Flanagin. He is survived by: Mike (Tom) Murphy (Sharon); Patty Murphy (Pat's wife); Kathy Murphy Jones; along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, etc.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
