Vals' Gunlock scores 37 Tuesday

BIGFORK — Bigfork’s Paeten Gunlock hit four 3-pointers on the way to 37 points Tuesday night, leading the Valkyries over Stevensville 82-36 in non-conference basketball. 

Gunlock had 15 of the Vals 30 first-quarter points, and scored 23 by intermission with two threes. 

Desi Dell hit a pair of threes as well for the Vals, while {autpm DeSpain added 10 points. 

Addy Drye scored 18 to lead the Yellowjackets.

LIBBY — Hadleigh Wood scored 21 points, Rylee Delmas added 16 and Libby picked up its first win, over non-conference foe Troy. 

Wood hit 13 of 16 free throws for the Loggers who, after averaging 29.7 turnovers in their first three games, cut the total to under 20 and prevailed.

CORVALLIS — A third-quarter 3-point barrage carried the Corvallis Blue Davis past the Maidens. 

Briella Epling hit three 3-pointers, Ava Loran hit two and Ella Varner added another during the Blue Devils’ 28-point quarter. 

Neveah Perez had 19 points and Nefertiti Stewart 17 for Ronan.

FRENCHTOWN — Mason Quinn and Jezzy Palmer scored 14 points each in Frenchtown’s win, and Ryan Lucier added 11 for the Broncs. 

The Bulldogs’ Avery Orme tied for game scoring honors and teammate Allie Shors had 10.

Stillwater Christian goes 2-1 

With Katherine Paolini piling up 59 points in three games, Stillwater Christian split a pair of games at the Coyote Classic in Shelby and beat Whitefish JV Monday. 

Paolina had 25 points and 12 rebounds in a 71-36 win over Cut Bank Saturday; teammate Emma Zeider had 11 points and 10 boards in the win, and Jasper Bailey had 10 points. 

Zeider had 12 points and nine rebounds in a 63-42 loss to Fairfield Friday; Paolina had 15 points and five steals. 

On Monday, Paolini had 19 points and Zeider 13 (with 13 boards) in a 51-45 win over the Whitefish junior varsity. A full boxscore was not available for that game or the win over Cut Bank.
