Sunset Home Assisted Living offers compassionate care

Sunset Home Assisted Living is undergoing changes to administration and recently added a new nurse manager, and with the change of staff comes a change of focus.

What hasn't changed is Sunset’s dedication and commitment to the residents who call Sunset home.

The new team is working to return Sunset Home, 510920 U.S. 95, to the core values it was founded on, focusing again on Sunset's mission statement: "Bringing simplicity and meaning to your life as you age."

It's time to return to the foundation of what Sunset Home was originally intended to be, a warm, safe and comfortable place where the elderly of the community can thrive as they grow older, said Juanita Jantz, RN, interim administrator. It welcomes those who need assistance with activities of daily living provided for them by an excellent staff who truly care about those whom they serve.

“We are all family.” 

Sunset Home Assisted Living offers 24-hour personalized care with dedicated compassionate caregivers, a nurse on site throughout the week and on call 24/7, wonderful meals, and a variety of stimulating activities. All in warm, comfortable surroundings. Plus, there is a transport bus to take residents for fun and stimulating jaunts around the community.

All their food is made from scratch; fresh bread, homemade jam, breakfast, lunch and supper are all prepared on-site by our cooks. Come eat with them and try it for yourself for $8 a meal. To reserve a seat, call 208-267-0260, ext. 4.

In addition to residential care, Sunset offers adult hourly care. For $10 an hour daytime, five hours minimum, they will provide meals, drinks and snacks, toileting assistance and medication administration as needed. Pricing varies with package deals as well that can include bathing assistance, nail care, etc. Night hours are $15 an hour, with five hours minimum and 14 hours maximum based on bed availability. 

For a peaceful place for the patients and families during the final stages of life, Sunset has the hospice suite. It is a private, home-like setting with a room for loved ones and 24/7 access for family and friends and the same dedicated staff to care for the patient alongside the hospice service of your choice.
