Connie Jo Jimmerson, 74, passed away peacefully on Dec. 10, 2025, in Whitefish. She was born on Oct. 26, 1951, in Kalispell, to Evelyn and Griffin Mattheisen. She spent much of her childhood on her family’s dairy farm in Creston with Aleta, Janie and Ronnie — years filled with love, hard work and memories she cherished throughout her life.
Connie made Columbia Falls her home for most of her years building a life rooted in family, friendship and community. She attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, Washington and later held many jobs — though her favorite by far was serving as a beloved lunch lady in the Columbia Falls School District. Her bright smile, warm heart and gentle humor made her a cherished presence in the lunchroom, where she always worked to make each child’s day just a little brighter.
On Oct. 18, 1974, Connie married Dan Jimmerson, beginning a partnership grounded in love, loyalty and mutual devotion that lasted more than five decades.
An avid crocheter, Connie poured her love into every stitch, creating treasured blankets that became the favorites of countless children. She will be remembered for her strong will, deep loyalty, and the way she loved her family and friends with her whole heart.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Griffin Mattheisen; her grandparents, Alice and Val Zimmerman and George and Katie Mattheisen; and many dear friends and family members.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Jimmerson; her sister, Karen Flaherty; her daughter, Jessica Jimmerson (Darrick); her granddaughter, Kaitlyn (Jacob); and many extended family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wildcat Athletic Endowment Association or the Columbia Falls Academic Foundation — organizations that reflect Connie’s lifelong support of her community and its children.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 2 at Darlington Funeral Home in Kalispell, with a luncheon to follow at The Backroom. All who knew and loved Connie are warmly invited to attend and celebrate her life.
