Housing speakers  

The Montana Housing Partnership is looking for leaders in affordable housing and community development to share their knowledge and experience at the 2026 Montana Housing Partnership Conference at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort, May 18-20, 2026. The Montana Housing Partnership is accepting speaker proposals through Dec. 31. For information, visit nwmt.org. 


Film grant 

The Montana Film Office is accepting grant applications for the Big Sky Film Grant. This grant program aims to build and support partnerships with filmmakers and production companies to create Montana film industry jobs. Eligible productions include feature films, short films, documentaries, television series, limited series, music videos and others. Application deadline is Feb. 15, 2026. Government Affairs Committee  

The Kalispell Chamber of Commerce holds its Government Affairs Committee meeting on Jan. 5, 2026. The committee focuses on keeping members informed and up to speed on local, state and federal issues throughout the year that impact their business and the community. The committee meets at the chamber at 2 South Main St., Ste. 205.  


Historic Preservation Grant  
The Montana Department of Commerce is accepting applications for the Montana Historic Preservation Grant. The state-funded program is designed to support public or private entities with the preservation of historic sites, historical societies or history museums through grant funding. The program provides the opportunity to stimulate economic development, community revitalization and statewide tourism through increased investment, job creation or retention, business expansion and local tax base growth. Wood Products Loan  

The Montana Department of Commerce is taking applications for the Wood Products Revolving Loan Fund, which provides financial assistance to create or retain jobs in the wood products industry. Loans are available to individuals, including private contractors, or businesses defined as small businesses under the United States Small Business Administration.
