ALL-IDAHO FOOTBALL: Wallace places four on 1A first team

Four Wallace Miners — sophomore quarterback Cooper Miller, junior wide receiver Henry Larson, junior defensive lineman Reece Williams and junior linebacker Marley Pearce — were named to the 1A first team as the All-Idaho football team was announced recently by The Idaho Statesman newspaper of Boise.
Miller accounted for 74 touchdowns all told, passing for 3,073 yards and rushing for 1,536 for the Miners.
Larson had 68 receptions for 1,336 yards and 19 TDs.
Williams totaled 101 tackles, including 19 tackles-for-loss, nine sacks and three forced fumbles.
Pearce had 141 tackles, 25 TFLs, six sacks and 14 quarterback hurries.
Coeur du Christ had two players named to the 1A second team — junior running back Jon Denke and senior wide receiver Greg Hayes.
Four Coeur d’Alene Viking seniors made the 6A second team — offensive lineman David Scott, defensive lineman Mateo Rhea, linebacker Ian Dahlin and defensive back George Mitchell.
Lakeland senior linebacker Cash Lund was named to the 5A second team
Sandpoint junior Brock Yarbrough was named to the 5A first team at wide receiver and at linebacker. He was also named to the second team as a kicker.
Junior running back Jensen Sheetz and senior wide receiver Maverick Gomez of Sandpoint made the 5A second team.
Bonners Ferry senior running back Keenan Maas made the 4A first team. Bonners senior linebacker Conrad Hiatt was named to the second team.
St. Maries senior wide receiver Brock Barta was named to the 3A second team.
Area players on the 3A first team included Priest River sophomore wide receiver Layton Goins, Priest River senior offensive lineman Brady Hatten and Orofino senior punter Landon Connolly.
Hatten was also named to the second team as a defensive lineman. Grangeville junior wide receiver Tate Schumacher also made the 3A second team.
The All-Idaho teams are chosen by a vote of the state’s coaches. The Idaho Statesman (IdahoStatesman.com) publishes the results.
