Boys hoops has great tourney in Browning

The Columbia Falls boys basketball team beat Miles City and Hardin in Browning Friday and Saturday, 86-43 and 74-47 respectively.
The Cats outrebounded Miles City 45-17 and was 17-3 in offensive rebounds noted coach Chris Finberg.
“We didn’t give up an offensive rebound in the first half,” Finberg said.
The extra possessions “made a huge difference,” Finberg added.
Bjorn Pedersen took full advantage, scoring 28 against the Cowboys. He had 23 against Hardin.
The Cats spread the wealth against Miles City; Jory Hill had a dozen, Easton Brooks had 10 points and 11 rebounds. Jett Pitts had 10.
Against Hardin the Cats forced 20 turnovers and also out-rebounded them 14-9.
Hill had 18, Pitts 15 in the win. Pedersen and Pitts had 9 boards apiece.
The Cats will travel to Hamilton Jan. 3.
The Broncs are young and athletic. They came back from 15 down against Ronan earlier this season to win. It will be the fifth straight road game for the Cats. They’re now 3-1.
