Armstrong, a 190-pound junior wrestler, beat Camas (Wash.) junior Kannon Freschette by a 10-2 major decision to win his second straight Tri-State Invitational championship on Saturday at North Idaho College, improving to 16-0 on the season. Armstrong also won in 2024 at 165 pounds. “He’s got a really good gas tank,” Coeur d’Alene coach Jeff Moffat said. “He knows what he wants to do in the match and he tries to wear guys out.”
