Benefit fundraiser planned to support local woman

A benefit fundraiser will be held Jan. 25 to support Jessica Harris as she faces financial hardship following the death of her partner, Bill Markgraff.
Northwoods Tavern, along with Markgraff’s friends and family, will host the event beginning at 1 p.m. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go directly to Harris.
Markgraff died in November 2025. Organizers said the benefit is intended to help Harris with expenses following his passing.
The event will include a live auction and a spaghetti lunch, available with a $15 donation. Super 1 Foods is assisting with the food for the fundraiser.
Organizers noted that Markgraff and Harris were both active in helping others in the community and said the benefit is an opportunity to return that support during a difficult time.
