Two Eagle, Charlo girls trade results in busy Class C weekend

Class C girls basketball teams from Lake County were busy over the weekend, as Two Eagle River and Charlo faced off Friday, then split results in Saturday’s games against Superior and Alberton.

Charlo claimed a decisive 56-24 win over Two Eagle River Friday in a conference matchup.

The Lady Vikings jumped out to a 16-4 first-quarter lead and never looked back, holding Two Eagle to single-digit scoring in each of the first three quarters. Charlo maintained steady scoring in all four periods to cruise to the victory.

Two Eagle was led by Keke Tenas with nine points. Justin Nicolai added four, while Lexis Sparks and Dezalynn Lindquist scored three apiece in the loss.

Two Eagle River earned its second win of the season Saturday with a 47-25 victory over Alberton.

The Lady Eagles built momentum early and pulled away with a strong second quarter, outscoring Alberton 16-3 to take control at halftime. Two Eagle continued to apply pressure on both ends of the floor after the break to secure the win.

Keke Tenas led the Lady Eagles with 14 points, while Jodessa Dickson added eight and Justin Nicolai finished with seven. Dezalynn Lindquist scored five, with Lexis Sparks and Emma SpottedEagle contributing four points each as Two Eagle improved to 2-3 overall.

Charlo faced a tough test Saturday against Superior, falling 68-61 despite a strong fourth-quarter push.

The Lady Vikings trailed by seven entering the final period but outscored Superior 21-18 down the stretch before time ran out.

The Lady Vikings slipped to 3-2 on the season.
