Law roundup: Cat burglar released from custody

Someone called Kalispell Police Department after seeing a tabby cat caught in a trap. Police determined the traps had been set by a local cat rescue to catch an orange cat and her three kittens. Volunteers said it wasn’t the first time the tabby was caught taking the bait and pledged to continue “checking traps regularly and letting Mr. Freeloader out,” according to the police narrative.
