Suspect jailed after Christmas Eve shooting in Flathead County

A suspect was taken into custody after a Christmas Eve shooting on Columbia Falls Stage Road.
A man called 911 to report that he had been shot by another man at about 2:15 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 24, according to a Flathead County Sheriff's Office media release.
Sheriff's Office deputies and emergency medical personnel responded and the victim was transported to Logan Health Medical Center.
A male suspect was taken into custody and transported to the Flathead County Detention Center, the release stated.
The investigation was ongoing Wednesday as detectives worked to gather evidence at the scene. A portion of Columbia Falls Stage Road was closed while law enforcement was on the scene.
