Connie Marlene Keller, 85, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at home on Dec. 18, 2025.
Connie was born on Dec. 6, 1940, in Rugby, North Dakota to Melvin and Margaret Nygaard. She met the love of her life, Terrence “Terry” Keller in Minot, North Dakota and they married on Oct. 1, 1958. They made Libby their home in 1960.
Connie dedicated her early years as a homemaker before she started working at Family Flicks, Express Photo and volunteering at the local museum.
Connie’s life was a testament to kindness and strength; her unforgettable smile and sweet nature endeared her to everyone she met. Connie had a talent for sewing, crafting and baking. She enjoyed reading and bowling, but her greatest joy was spending time with family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life and she cherished every moment with them.
Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
Connie is survived in death by her six children; Val Souther (Kim), Kalispell; Brad Keller, Libby; Carrie Peterson (Steve), Libby; Kevin Keller, Libby; Kelly Gilbert (James), Mountain Home, Idaho; Stacy McRell (Jim), Libby; sister, Margaret Goetz, Rapid City, South Dakota; brother, Blanchard Nygaard, Minot, North Dakota; brother, Dennis Nygaard, Burlington, North Dakota; 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces and cousins.
Connie was preceded in death by her spouse, Terry Keller; parents, Margaret and Melvin Nygaard; brothers Melvin and Neil Nygaard.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2026, at the Libby Christian Church, followed by a luncheon.
