Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is proud to celebrate a remarkable professional milestone for Riley Black, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, who has officially earned the Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) credential after successfully passing the rigorous examination developed by The Menopause Society.

This nationally recognized certification represents a high level of expertise in the care of women navigating menopause and midlife health changes. According to The Menopause Society, there are currently only 31 MSCPs in the entire state of Montana, and Riley is believed to be the first in Lincoln County to achieve this distinction-a significant step forward for women’s healthcare in the region.

“I’m honored to join this group of professionals dedicated to improving the quality of care for women during midlife,” said Black. “Menopause is a natural and significant phase of life and I’m passionate about ensuring women in our community have access to evidence-based, compassionate care close to home.”

The Menopause Society Certified Practitioner designation is awarded to healthcare professionals who demonstrate advanced understanding in the diagnosis, treatment, and management of menopause and other hormonal and reproductive health conditions.

Earning this credential requires rigorous study and examination, as well as a continued commitment to staying current with the latest research and evidence-based treatment guidelines.

Founded in 1989, The Menopause Society is a nonprofit, multidisciplinary organization dedicated to promoting the health and quality of life of women during midlife and beyond.

The Society serves as the trusted, independent resource for both healthcare professionals and the public, collaborating with leading organizations including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), National Institutes of Health (NIH), and the American Medical Association (AMA).

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center extends its heartfelt congratulations to Riley Black, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, MSCP, for achieving this prestigious certification and for her ongoing dedication to advancing women’s health services in northwest Montana.

Riley’s accomplishment highlights CPMC’s continued commitment to bringing specialized, high-quality healthcare to rural communities.
