Troy Lady Trojans thump Noxon

Troy’s girls basketball team bounced back in a big way Saturday, rolling to a 60-20 victory over Noxon in a nonleague matchup on Dec. 20.
The Trojans set the tone early, jumping out to a 20-5 lead after the first quarter and never letting Noxon find a rhythm. Troy led 33-17 at halftime before clamping down defensively in the second half, holding the Red Devils to just three points over the final two quarters.
Aspen Orr powered the Troy offense with a game-high 29 points. Nautika Larson added 11 points, while Hailey Dungan and Kylie Cole chipped in seven points apiece to give the Trojans balanced scoring.
Troy outscored Noxon 26-1 in the third quarter, effectively putting the game away.
For Noxon, Abby Yoder led the way with nine points.
With the win, Troy improved to 2-1 on the season, while Noxon fell to 0-2.
