Winter Weather Advisory issued for Coeur d'Alene area

The National Weather Service today issued a Winter Weather Advisory for parts of North Idaho and Eastern Washington.

The forecast calls for up to 3 inches of snow in Coeur d'Alene, Post Falls, Hayden, Worley, Chenet, Fairfield, Spokane Valley and Rockford.

Heavy, wet snow was falling this morning, but stopped by the afternoon.

"Plan on slippery road conditions," the NWS said. "The winter driving conditions could impact the Friday evening commute."

The advisory will remain in effect until Saturday morning.
