Law roundup: Officers sent to sniff out suspicious puppy dealer

A caller told the Kalispell Police Department they got “bad vibes” from a person peddling puppies from a pickup truck that was parked outside a discount store. After an investigation, officers confirmed there were, in fact, puppies on offer. 

Sparks flew when a white truck collided with a power pole. A passerby stayed with the driver until emergency personnel arrived. 

Two people reported an online banking fraud scheme. 

A caller expressed concerns about her rights to her pet dogs during divorce proceedings. 

Somebody requested police assistance after her ex-boyfriend showed up at her work and threatened her. A review of the former couple’s text messages revealed heated arguments about “who was worse.” 

A caller claimed “mass confusion” at a traffic light in town. He hung up when dispatchers requested his last name. 

A driver in a white truck said his accelerator got stuck and caused him to rear-end another vehicle. No injuries were reported. 

A deer died after getting trapped inside a fence.  

A set of keys for a black Cadillac remains unaccounted for.
