The St. Regis Tiger girls improved to 1-4 with a 58-24 win over the Red Devils in Noxon before the holiday break. First-year coach Zack Lott will guide his team into another District 14C game with Charlo Saturday in the Tigers’ next scheduled action.

Shelby Simkins scored 14 points to lead St. Regis in the win over Noxon, Daisy Sansom and Emma Gillette added 10 each, Lilly Sansom eight and Shannon Todd seven.

Abigail Yoder led Noxon with 10 points.

Lott has been a fixture on the St. Regis sports scene for almost a decade now but the girls’ coaching job is his first head coaching position. Lott is actually a St. Regis alumnus, having graduated there in 2010, and then attending Western Montana College after that before returning to his home town to teach and coach.

Lott is glad to be in the position of head coach for the St. Regis girls. “This is an opportunity to continue to learn and grow,” he said, citing the contributions of Jesse Allan, Brooks Sanford and several other local coaches along his career coaching path. “I look forward to working with these girls and seeing what we can accomplish.”
