Bonnie Neu Miller, 98, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, in Sagle, Idaho.

A potluck celebration for Bonnie will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026, at her daughter Janet Scott’s home, 46 Lilac Lane, Sagle, Idaho. She will be laid to rest next to her husband Robert Miller at Pinecrest Memorial Park.

Bonnie was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Yoder, Ind., to William and Beulah Neu. When She was 8 years old the family moved, during the “Dust Bowl,” from Nebraska to Sandpoint, Idaho, and made their home at the base of Schweitzer Mountain. Bonnie graduated from Sandpoint High School in 1946.

She married Robert “Bob” Miller on Dec. 28, 1946, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. During high school Bonnie was hired by Mr. Turnbull, Bonner County assessor, and continued at the Assessor’s Office for over 40 years.

Bonnie was a member of Sandpoint United Methodist Church. She was dedicated to her family, loved watching Gonzaga men’s basketball games and all other sports. She enjoyed raising cattle, gardening, and raising gladiolus and dahlias.

She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Spielman and Janet Scott (John Scott); eight grandchildren, Melynda Minardi, Lance, Kelly, and Dallas Spielman, JD and Devon Miller, Ashley and Brent Scott; nine great-grandchildren, Logan and Kayten Kunde, Mason and Austin Spielman, Audriana, Lucius and Elliana Spielman, Gabrielle Miller, and Zane Scott; two great-great-grandchildren, Robert and Annalise Spielman; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert Miller; two sons, James and Jack Miller; three brothers, Dick, Robert and William Neu; two sisters, Gwen and Virginia; and son-in-law Loren Spielman.
