Superior schools annual spelling bee.

    Contestants were instructed to look toward the judges after they completed spelling their word to see if they moved to the next round (green cards were displayed) or if a red card was shown, they could take their seat for the remainder of the contest. (Monte Turner/Mineral Independent)
 
 
    The Superior Elementary Gymnasuim became to focal point last Tuesday for the annual spelling bee for third through eighth grade students who wanted to participate. Three judges, an orator and electrical engineer made sure the contest went as smoothly as possible. (Monte Turner/Mineral Independent)
